It's not that hard to pull. I used a 3-ton jack with a transmission adapter from harbor frieght. Getting it back on is harder. You just want to make sure you remove the CPS sensor, and that you take care to put the bolts into labeled baggies.
Two ten inch extensions and passing through the space in the drivers side motor mount makes taking the starter off quick work.
To drop the trans you just need to remove the crossmember, y pipe, driveshaft, CPS sensor, engine to tranny bolts, shift linkage and cooling lines.
