My opinion I would sell the ford and build a 408....my bolt on auto 318 runs my buddys 94 gt pretty close from a zero till about 55....i know if I had a 408 I would walk him.
Something seriously wrong with your buddies 94 gt. I had a 2000 mustang V6 manual that was way faster than my truck (5.9L with bolt ons)

No, I think brand loyalty is idiotic. Anyways I meant "crap" as "stuff". I wouldnt mind having a 5.0 Mustang myself. They have the most beautiful exhaust notes out there.

Id say sell the ford engine and parts. And put a stronger motor in the dodge. 360 mild engine upgrades ect.

Forgive this being my 1st post, but I couldn't resist:

MOPAR

Move over people are racing

Momentarily obtains power at random

Mounds of parts and rust

....and yet I bought my 1st Dodge yesterday....

To the OP:

Keep the 302 in a Ford, you would be time and money ahead.

I once rebuilt a Dodge brake caliper using a Ford piston.
Same diameter, Ford piston 1/8" shorter.

Worked just fine.
