so I just bought a 97 ram1500 5.9l it is missing the fan shroud and starts overheating if it idles to long. I was wondering would it be better to go to the junk yard and try and track down a shroud or install an electric fan
thanks
install a e fan if you have the extra cash. You def. want the shroud if you dont put the efan in, dont want to get wrapped up in that fan may suck a little
thanks for your help yeah the overflow bottle and washer fluid res is in there just not mounted to any thing there kinda jerry riged, dipsherry if you wouldnt mind checking on shipping that would be great in case i can find one in the junk yard. I just need it fixed as soon as possible because I dont want it overheating and i need to drive it to work

After reading that I just realized how wonderfully white trash I sounded lol
lol when I installed my e fans I zip tied my overflow and windshield washer fluid tank to the core support. I thought it was a little hillbilly but hell it works lol
