Default suspension lift help

Since I'm looking at tire and wheels I guess I should just get a lift so I can run 35x 12.50s. I have never purchased a lift for anything and need a little help..... My truck is a sport and most lifts I find say "non sport" I want a 5 inch lift, also will I need to remove the leveling kit I currently have on the truck when installing lift kit?

So if you guys know of a 5" lift that wont kill me on price and will work on a sport please help me out. Thanks

The most I will spend is 1200 on lift kit just so you know, also here is one I found and comment on it?

Cool

I have got a 99' Ram 1500 Sport and i have been looking on http://www.partstrain.com/ they sell some pretty cheap suspension products and if you buy the parts separate like bigger springs and then blocks and add a leafs you should be able to get 5'' of lift for under 1200.00. Hope i helped

Do you plan on off-roading your Ram with the nice lift? If so, don't go cheap. Get a BDS kit, or something of similar quality. Yep, they are expensive.... but, you NEED longer control arms, else your front suspension geometry will do really odd things. You won't need the leveling kit, as most lifts level as well.

Don't worry about the "Sport" moniker for your truck, the only differences are purely cosmetic, and any lift for 94-98? will fit just fine.

Well I have been pretty hard on mine . The only problem I had was the dropdown pitman arm bracket wore the hole into an eggshape where the bolt runs through and I started having alignment issues . So I brought the truck inside the garage and welded the bastard to the frame . Fixed , that was after a solid year of offroad abuse . A lot of guys will say blocks are no good . I have had no issues with them at all . The front coils were a little stiff at first but have been getting a little softer . The Control arms are 100 x better than stock and have grease fittings at both ends . Good Luck and keep me posted on the route you go .

Here is some minor abuse .
