Default Air Breather/PCV

so i see alot of people have a breather on their valve cover, how is this? i have 2 pcv valves. one on each cover. if u take one out and put a breather in there, what do you do to the port on the intake manifold that it ran to? just curious, always wanted to put a breather in there.

There is only one PCV valve. The other is just an elbow. The pcv valve is the one that goes to the manifold, the elbow is the one that goes to the air cleaner .

Those that have a breather are usually people who have done away with the stock air cleaner assembly that had a hose going from it to the valve cover. If you decide to take out one of your PCV's, you can just plug the port on the side of the intake manifold. Autoparts stores sell little vaccum port covers that are deisgned for just this purpose.

IIRC the plastic elbow is 1". The one that goes to the CAI. Do not do it to the pcv going to the intake manifold. You do realize you are not gaining anything by doing this you know.

I'm not sure that has ever been discussed here before.

Technically it's also illegal. If you have a hard azz doing inspections where you live, he could call you on it.

I personally don't like the 14x3, I lost bottom end on my 98, and I hated the sucking noise it made.
