Even if it did start a fire (which I doubt) it wouldn't be anything more than a flash, not enough O2 in the tank for it to blow up.

Someone stole my ipod out of my truck by going through the back glass. He was caught by the wildlife cameras that cover where my truck parts...and the camera in my backyard that covers my shed...and the lawnmower.

Because the ipod had music on it...lots of it...that I paid for...and it was an ipod touch, the value estimated by the DA to be in excess of $1000, he got both a trespassing charge, entry into locked vehicle...and a FELONY theft charge. The cameras did their job, clearly identified him, with the correct date time stamps and were admissable evidence in court. The best part, I bought TWO for 70 bucks from walmart. Since then they've caught my neighbor sucking gas out of my lawn mower and at least ten people trying to get into my shed. PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST do what it takes to protect your stuff.

i live in central louisiana...don't have that choice. I think if you set up wildlife cams even if you thought you lived in a great neighborhood, you would be incredibly disappointed to find what "honest" people do after dark. I used to live in an EXCELLENT neighborhood by anyone's standards and yet people still steal your paper, steal change out of the cupholders...steal your garden hose...people who make six figures and hire other people to detail their cars and trucks...thieves, because it's easier.

wow thats rediculus! I live on a dead end road with 95% of the ppl are in their 80's. 3 years ago my grandmother past away my family was spending time with my grandfather and when I came home I noticed the window blown out of my probe a nd my head unit gone and about 30.00 in change. Then to top it off my Honda 400 ex was stolen out of my garage! All in all it turned out to be "a friend of mine" Jealousy got the better of him.

This ones kinda funny but sad at the same time. Had a 300ex also and it was at my girlfriends parents in their garage and I guess some little kid saw me bring it in on my truck and wanted to ride it, well I put the quad in their garage and went to cedar point for the day. Came back and I saw a quad sitting in someones yard! I was like what the hell! The kids parents let him rid it around because he told them I let him take it from the garage and ride it around. Some parents amaze me, if my kid came back with a fourwheeler I am pretty sure I would be asking some questions

for what it's worth, rigging a trap may land you in more hot water than the thief..

I once had a bar, and in it poker machines..

one busy night, a customer managed to unhinge the top of it, which allowed the lexan to slide up, which allowed him to work his fingers in the machine and catch the 20 before it fell to the cash box, and run it through again.. he came to me saying the machine paid out something like $400, and had the tickets to prove it..

I caught on after closing as to how he was doing it, and rigged the hell out of that machine.. I taped and glued a razor blade in the thing that would slice the hell out of him when he went to do it again..

I explained to one of the partner owners what I had done- he was a lawyer who had invested with me.. he freaked out.. He said that guy could bring suit against us for that, and that any charges against him would be dismissed..

the world is some kinda effed up, huh?

the water/gas in the can is awesome though.. I love that idea..

A friend of mine was dealing with that a couple of years ago. He lived in an older area of Springfield, Missouri where the older houses were converted into rentals, so the clientele were not always the greatest. He was certain someone was stealing his gas cans and returning them empty but he didn't know which neighbor it was. So, one day he filled a gas can with a couple of gallons of gas and added an entire bottle of maple syrup to it.

Three days later, two houses down from him the hood of someone's Lexus was up with four idiots trying to figure out why the car wouldn't start. One can only imagine what the syrup did to the fuel pump and injectors.
