Flexplate rattle?

The noise is the same as the video at the top of the forum. Same year and motor even.

It gets better. It might just be because the motor drounds out the sound. But it is the loudest when sitting in park.

Take the cover off and look things over, it might be obvious. Maybe loose bolt or something.

Usually, a broken/cracked flexplate will get louder under load.... Wouldn't hurt to pull the inspection plate and have a look though.

How would you go about getting inspection plate off?

Disconnect battery.
Remove starter motor. (two bolts, I do believe.)
Couple more bolts, and the cover will fall off.

At that point, you can see the bottom half. Turn the motor by hand, see if anything is obvious.
