Where does the big vacum line that comes out of the transfer case go. I was under my truck today and found it hanging down near the cat. It is rubber up to there and then it is attached to a metal line and that is where it is broke there is also a tab on it with a bolt hole through it right where its broke. Its a 1996 1500 with the 360. I am grateful for any help

 

is it the 4 prong connector? does it have four holes at the end? if so, it goes about midway on the top on drivers side.....you can see it if you pull up your shift boot.

If its just a single line, its a vent line. Goes up to a clip, or some such, where the dipstick tube for the auto trans bolts to the bellhousing.
