The steering column gauge is a good idea, but it looks real cheesy and ugly. It's an overlay. It doesn't replace the top steering column piece.

I bought the glow-shift package and I love it . It's out of the way but also insight when I need to check . Wouldn't change a thing .

keep in mind that most of the pods for our trucks come in black. If you care about your interior matching or being at least close you'll need to have it painted. I honestly don't know how close the Mopar pant it. You might be able to buy a $8 can and do it yourself and save you money. I had a body shop paint mine and my dash at the same time. They don't match 100% not sure why, but it's close enough that it don't bother me now.

I have a 2 gauge a pillar pod and I like it. If your unsure about adding another gauge in the future you might wanna just get the 3 hole one. Might look dumb now but later on when you add a gauge you'll have a place for it. I just added a air pressure gauge for my horns and I gotta mount the gauge somewhere else. Now I wish I had the 3 hole pod but oh well.
