Question 4th Fuel Pump in 5 years

My 97 1500 360 is getting ready to get its 4th Fuel Pump in 5 years that I have owned it! The Fuel Pump seems to go after a year or more everytime. Of course the Pumps Warranty is only a year. At $240 to $300 for a new 1. This is got me very frustrated to y I cant keep Fuel Pumps in my Dodge?

Not sure if maybe I have a short or something? But I would think that it would short it out right away? Going to do more deeper search this time for a problem!

I'm on my 2nd fuel pump in a year and a half, and that's only because I bought a 2nd truck.
Something seems fishy to have gone through that many pumps in such a short time. Try switching brands, RockAuto has a good selection and a much better price than that 300. I've run the Delphi pumps with no issues.

I used to go through fuel pumps and alternators about every year on my work truck. It was a chevy, but a guy that owns his own shop told me not to buy such items at Napa, Autozone, Advance etc.. Got new ones from the parts dept. at a dealership and haven't had anymore problems. And the dealership wasn't that much more.

Do you run it close to empty all the time. That'll burn them up easy if its consistent...
