End-all Be-all plenum thread
Fixing to do the fix and I'm scared to death of breaking a manifold bolt off... Any good ideas to keep from doing this?? I plan on soakinf them in some sort of good penitrating oil..i heard that mopar sells a good one??

Yeah, Mopar Rust Penetrant is good. Supposedly just blasts that stuff away. Some of the users on here have used it, but only when they needed to, its expensive. You have to get it at a dealer.
This really isnt that bad folks, just time consuming. I as well broke a bolt off, then precided to break a bit off in the bolt and then alos broke a tap off in the hole after I got the bit out......ugh. Turned into a 12 hr project.
One thing, the guy on here that sells the alum plates, hole 15 on mine was a tad off. Had to take a round file to it. but for $60 and just that hole being slightly off, I'm not complaining!
Ended up putting a 180 thrumo in while I was at it. Someone was in my engine before. The gasket was new but yet it still had blown out again. I'm sittin pretty now. Pulls through all the gears much stronger, runs better and even bumped my AMGP up by 1. Gotta like that.
Now onto some cosmetic work!......oh, and I need to get my hands on a tuner. Gotta clear out that deathwipe.
I took some pics, I'll upload them later.

well after going for a longer drive i found out my motor is comsuming oil , so i believe along with that and the spark knock that its the plenum so i gotta get this fixed sometime soon, only problem is that i work 6 days a week and only have 1 vehicle so not much time to do this...
You will need some blue locktite for the the plenum pan bolts.
Tap the intake mainfold bolt holes whether you break off any bolts or not. You want them fellers nice and clean when you are torquing the intake back down. Dirt and such in them will give you inaccurate torque readings, and since there is so little torque on them to begin with.... you don't want 'em loose.
