I also have 35's and 4.88's. i am running 60 mph at 2000 rpm. 65 is 2150rpm. gas mileage seems to be better, maybe its all perspective? But i know the trans no longer hunts between 3rd and OD doing 55-65mph. That HAS to be saving gas and $$. before I was running 60 mph at 1500 rpm. trans downshifting into 3rd everytime i even thought about touching the gas.

What size tire are you planning on running? That should determine what gear ratio you chose...

Try this calculator: http://www.4lo.com/calc/geartire.htm

Plug in the truck's stock tire size ( in inches ), new tire size and current gear ratio.
It will calculate the "effective" ratio, the recommended ratio ( middle, basically to match the "factory" gearing with the taller tires) and a number for "steeper" gears...

The only company who makes a 6" lift for our trucks is fabtech. There long arm kit is a 6" but everybody elses lift is 5". If you want a good ride I'd say drop the money and get a set of long arms.

Are you using the 4.88's in the rear(9.25) and front(D44), is there any fabbing entailed on the install?

If your really gonna be abusing your truck I would look for some d60's before you drop all that coin on gears.

Your factory axles are gonna need alot of service with 35's, I know im in the middle of replacing everthing the tures have worn out.

And im clearing 35's with only a $60 coil spacer, no rub either.

Dick Cepek makes a 6" long arm kit.

When i get to the point of lifting my 95 I will either be running superlift's 5" with 37's, or i will build a custom 8" longarm and run 40's.
