lift and gear questions 98 ram???
Ok, so just got the 98 dodge 1500 and ive been researching lifts... but would like to hear from others what brand to run? I just got rid of a 2000 xj with a 8.5 in rough country long arm lift. I want something around 6 in, the jeep was alittle too big for daily driving... The dodges will be 75% on road but still want it to perform offroad. So what in your opinion should I do for the lift? Also I do want to regear, but again not sure what I want to run 410s seem pretty common in the 2nd gen but have also heard of others runnin 456s... What gears should I be looking at without killing my mpg? Plan on stuffing what ever i can under the fenders as long as they dont rub!

If you got the green backs for it heres this one. Personally im going with the RC 5" with 3" body and 35s.http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SJA-D702K-DX/
yeah everywhere i checked the lifts where 5 in, which isnt bad casue i could still throw the 3in body on later... the pic of your truck isnt with the 5 in already on it is it? Im running 285s which i think is equivelant to 33s on my stock height now... with 5 in i'd imagine it could clear 35s tops 38s... rough country has improved over the last few yrs, but im looking for a lift that still gives u "close" to the stock ride feel. If u do have the rough counrty lift on the truck, how does it ride? the 5 in rough country is reasonably priced for the dodge, seeing how i spent 1300 on the cherokee!
Who is your 6in suspension through? idealy thats what i want and possibly a body lift later? all i can find is 5 in

Lift is from Rough Country and I run 60-65 at about 2G maybe 2300. But with my 35s and new gears im about 4-6 mph off so 60 is 70 and so on. And my MPG is better in town and my shift points are much stronger and firmer. Runs good man.
