Default dodge ram 2500 v10

Ok i have a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with an 8.0 liter V10 magnum. It has a 5 speed manual tranny and a leveling kit 3 inch body and 33 inch procomp xterrains... as you probly know, the gas mileage is crap...ave of 10 to 11 mpg on a good day. Without changing gears or anything real major what can i do to help out mileage. I was looking for a hand tuner but im not sure if they even make one for a v10 gasser.

well with what you have and seeing as you still get 10-11, consider yourself lucky...

but best bet IMO would be a full header back exhaust

Exhaust is the biggest restriction that most V10 owners take care of, also for a tuner contact Hemifever he can hook you up with a SCT tuner.

Honestly Don't know if your going to get much better than that. I hear alot of owners get around that, I definitely get under.

You can start small and give it a tune up (plugs, wires, air filter, etc).

As others have stated, upgrading the exhaust may help, I plan on doing mine this summer seeing as its about ready to fall off....

After all is said and done, you may see an mpg increase or two.

I say leave it stock. It is meant to haul and tow. I bet it will get 10 mpg loaded too which is pretty good. My dads chevy 3500 dually 454 will get 10-11 empty or loaded with a fullsize truck on a trailer.
