possible clogged cat
Hey guys, this is something.. I should know but before i mess with, I will ask
I'm pretty sure my cat is clogged or something because I don't hear buy a very slight differance in idle sound but when i step into it.. I don't hear the exhaust bit sone and a massive hissing.. gas milage went up a good bit and power went way down.. lol.
Anyone know where I can get the o2 simulators?

Unscrew the pre cat o2 temporarily and see how it runs. And here is the non fouler trick. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...converter.html
I will try that.. but what would i be looking for? Cause I think if I do thus defouler mod I will just do that and add a flowmaster to it for back pressure... cause right now all i have is shorty hraders, magnaflow y pipe and cat and cut off there..
I mean its running ok now.. idles fine shifting is a little more off but I need to do a fluid filter change.. but only time u notice anything is it sounds stoppwd up when accelling and downshifting manually I hear it a little..

the idea is that when you take out the precat o2 you alow more exhaust to come out, in order to determine if you cat is plugged or not. if it were me i would cut the CAT and add a decent muffler and the non-foulers (if you get a CEL from the downstream o2)
One way or another, check the cat. Simple as that!
As of right now.. I don't wen run a downstream, its sitting on the pipe that I cut off, and have been that way for a good bit... and i don't have a light, but I'm going to do that.. gut it, get a muffler, and do that,
Should I gut it cold or easier hot?
