Moved this to its own thread for you, since its a completely different topic from your other thread.

The factory "amp" on the Infinity equipped trucks are two small amps, one on each front door speaker. If not Infinity speaker or stereo equipped, you don't really have an amp other than the basic one built into the head unit.

If memory serves, you can use the same wire, but only 2 of the 4... as to which 2... can't say, been a while since I did it.

Follow that link and put in your vehicle info and it'll tell you what color wires you use.

On my 96 I used the 2 inside wires, take a test light and hit each wire, you will have a power, 2 signal wires and a ground. You want to use the signal wires and tape off the power and ground, the signal wires will just barely light up a test light, and be easy to spot out

Just an FYI for Infinity. Like 94-97 Rams had 4 wire speakers, 98-99 had 6-wire speakers, and 00-02 had like 8- or 9- wire speakers. I just had to change one in my 2000 Ram. I was shocked at how many wires were on the connector. I will post a pic of it tomorrow.
