Default Body lift is DONE!!! But a few problems after

Well after talking about it for 4 months I finally got my body lift done. Ran into a few problems though.

1st
Dont trust the directions. It tells you to weld a 3" extension onto your shift linkage... Dont do this... my linkage is now 3"to long, gonna have to take if off and cut the extension out.

2nd
Now my airbag light is on... I have no clue if the airbag will work if I get into a crash (not that I like airbags but the light bugs me)

3rd
Truck wont idle anymore. If I put my foot on the gas a little it will start and run GREAT, just as always... but when I take my foot of the truck dies....

If anyone has ideas please let me know.

I got some good work in progress pics, I will post when I get some good finished pics.

1 - I had to weld in the extension with my 3" Body lift
2 - sounds to me when you lifted the cab it pulled the wire out of the airbag sensor
3- sounds like another wire got pulled of a sensor or somewhere

Did you disconnect the battery, alot of people's trucks will have a problem till the pcm relearns after about 200 miles max(this pertains to idle problem)

When i disconnected my battery, my idle did some crazy things. It would start up fine, but when I got on the throttle then let off...my truck would die

I did not have to extend the transfer case linkage on my 2000 with a 3" body lift because there was plenty of adjustment in it. For the life of me I cant remember if I had to extend the trans shifter, but that was 10 years ago and I just cant remember. But, I think it was the same as the transfer case... didn't need the extension.

As far as no idle, I'm with zje400ex. How many time have you started the truck up and shut it off?

I'm not sure on the airbag light. I would be checking for dangling wires.

have you tried to put your key in the dash and turn the passenger airbag on?

you may have pulled a vac line loose, causing a leak.
