Not true. The 5.2L still has a balancer it isn't just a pulley. The 5.9L balancer will have a notch out of it for the external balance.

I guess I didn't specify. He must get another 96 computer. No other computer will work as 96 was a transition year.

94-95 is interchangeable as they are OBD I. 96 is all by itself, 97 may be too. Not sure on the others but 99-01 are probably interchangeable as they didn't change much in those years.
