Default subwoofer box for an extended cab

Has anybody made their own subwoofer box to fit underneath the back seat of their truck? If so can you share your dimensions of it.

I just bought a box off ebay, for $90 it's a down fire box. It ends up sticking out past the seat about 3-4" I bought this one by mistake I meant to buy the forward fire but, I don't have anyone in the back anyways.
here are the links to the ebay ads maybe you can get ideas and measurements off these.
down fire : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE...#ht_2586wt_819
forward fire : http://cgi.ebay.com/DODGE-RAM-10-EXT...#ht_2740wt_901

You have to be careful buying pre built boxes for our trucks. The forward fire 12" box is only .88 cf of airspace per sub. The average 12 needs around 1.25. Also depending on the sub you have to put another face board on it to let the sub fit. Best thing to do is just get under the back seat and start measuring. What size subs you wanting to use?

Someone on this site a long time ago took out the foam of the center seat and built a sub box there.

I built one... I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow. It has a fiberglass bottom to follow the shape of the floor. I was able to fit two 10's in it with the proper box volume. It was a real PITA, but it was worth it.

Here ya go.

As far as dimensions go I'd have to remeasure. And seeing how it's storming right now and tornado sirens are going off, that's all you're gonna get for now.

I just want put one 12 in it. I was thinking on putting it on behind the center console in the middle of the floor or figure out a way to fit it underneath the seat. I'd just screw the amp underneath the seat.

With one 12 the sky's the limit really, you could even buy a cheap 12" box off of eBay and go to homedepot and get a piece of 3/4" mdf shelving and make a new face like I did but close one hole off and just run one 12. That would be plenty of air. Really just depends on the sub you are looking at.. I put my amp underneath the center console.

I got an MTX thunderform. It fits great, and really looks nice also, It looks nearly the same as the under-seat storage compartment that you have to remove.
They are a little expensive though. $300 un-amplified with 2 10". I got mine on craigslist for $150, and it has the built in amp. Just had to paint it to match though.
