over heat only UP hill

turns out my welding job is not up to par. I could feel exhaust leaking through holes I didn't see. the muffler is on. I need to re-weld the opening in the cat where I pulled out the catalyst. Something I found out.... helps to reset the PCM after removing the cat. I was having some toruble with the truck stalling while coasting with the clutch in untill I reset the computer.

Did hollowing out the converter's take care of the overheating issue? Im having the same issue with 06 ram 1500 5.7 mega cab. Just looking for info.

Nine year old thread, and the member that posted it hasn't been here for nine years either. Don't expect an answer. And you want to be in the 3rd gen section anyway.
