Default question about kegger mod

How much would it cost and how long would it take for a competent machine shop to cut the runners down and remove the center divider on my spare keg?
I want to get it dipped anyway and that should run around 20 so if its not too much I would like to save the aggravation.

Where's your sense of adventure?

Gonna have to ask em. They certainly have the right tools for the job though.

The thing about machine shops is: most of them are privately owned, and thus, don't have any "standard prices".

What one machine shop will charge for something holds no bearing against what another will. My local machine shop might do it all for something like $100, but your local shop might want $250 for the same work.

Because of this, you will not be likely to receive a straight answer, and if you do, it will likely not reflect what your machine shop wants to charge. Call them and ask.

Yeah I know it can vary from place to place but from my experience most businesses in my town are over priced anyway.
I am not expecting an exact price just what someone would consider reasonable or that already had it done at a shop and can post what they paid.
I guess I should have said that in the original post, I just don't wanna go to a shop and have it done then find out I paid out the ***. It will be my first time dealing with a place like this so I wanna have a good understanding before I go.

I had planned on doing it myself....Busted out the Dremmel as soon as it arrived. Got started on one runner and things started getting pretty tight, so I went ahead and opened up the injector holes. After that I went back to the runner I started on and did a little more until I started feeling my Dremmel getting really hot so I stopped.
I figure it would be better to just pay a shop to do it then saying 4 letter words for a few hours until I burn up my Dremmel I only had for a few months.
