Default 01 Transmission Broke?? Pulled Pan PICS Inside

I know this has been covered million times and I searched around and came up with a couple possibilities....

What happened.....I have had no problems before this it just happened out of no where. I was getting on the highway on ramp at normal speeds. All of sudden the rpms jump up and the truck will no longer go forward. Now when in gear it will catch sometimes and move alittle then stop and rev up again. This happens in all gears R-D-2-1. It wont even engage in 4wd. Now when in gear you can hear what seems to be clunking noise like something is turning? Even in neutral you can hear it. Had my buddy check the fluid and its not going down when in neutral like it should. So could this be a broken flexplate , filter clogged, tranny pump?

Its a 2001 5.2 with offroad package with 90,000. Everything is stock.

Sorry for the long post but any input is welcome.

Torque converter may have **** the sheets

First order of business: drop the pan and see what you find... most likely rebuild time though
