On my truck.... 3.55 gears, 265/75 tires, I did a complete tuneup, fixed the plenum, (and modded the kegger, but, that has little effect on fuel economy), replaced timing chain and gears, and front O2 sensor, and went from about 8 mpg (and three quarts of oil per week...) to around 12 city, 16 highway. That's about as good as its gonna get.

Keep in mind, that "city" is applied loosely to the place in which I live. Adrian is NOT a booming metropolis.

I average 14.5 mpg in my 1996 5.9L...i dont drive it like a grandma, but i dont drive it like i stole it either, new bearings, rebuilt motor, good tune up and no "emmisions" crap and im pulling 14.5mpg, its not great but im happy concidering the truck is a 1996...still might pick up a more fuel efficent truck though...just keep the ol girl around for a real truck...lol

How is everyone getting 10+ city? I get 8.9-9.3 and 9.3 if I lay off the throttle. My plenum isnt broke yet; I check it every week. I have all my power(and more thanks to SCT ), I just replaced my air filter, I do need a tune up but its not effecting my gas that bad, only 1 mpg.

Granted the way I drive, its hard for me to keep off the throttle. Plus I have 33's(ya ya ya, I have 4.10s, big whoop. Tires are still heavy).

Granted I am getting pretty decent highway, like 13-14(averaging both mpg in OHC), but thats under 75 mph.
