2500 diesel lift for 1500?
My buddy has an 01 2500 4x4 with a stock lift as far as I know and I have a 97 1500 4x4 with the stock sport lift would the lift on the 2500 work with my truck even though its a 1500 I'm aware they have different axles but not sure if the leafs are the same width or not? and I dont see why the coiler spacers wouldnt work? I could be wrong thus why im asking for you help.
Front springs are a direct swap, and will get you 1.5 to 2 inches of lift.
Rear springs on the 2500 are wider than yours, and will not fit without some work. (spring mounts, both on the frame, and on the axle.)

If the 2500 is stock it should not have any spacer. What most people on here do is swap the front coils out of a diesel for our stock springs. Then you could install an add-a-leaf for the rear. Even then it is going to be tight trying to clear 35's.

First you stated the 2500 has a "stock lift", but then you mention something about a coil spacer. Which is it? Is it stock or lifted? There is no "stock lift" offered on a 2500.
Also, there is no such thing as a "stock sport lift" as you mentioned either. A sport package simply adds color matched bumpers, grill, rear light covers and a few stickers. The only 2nd gen truck that came with a factory "lift" is the off road package.
Anyway, coil spacers for the 2nd gens are all the same (1500-2500-3500). You will have a tough time fitting 35's on a half ton with only a coils spacer... some trimming will most likely be required to not rub. If you use the factory wheels, you will also rub the control arms, which a lift kit will not prevent (although it is not a big issue).
