I think it is indeed counter clockwise..... I used a large adjustable wrench, but, I seem to have a pretty good selection of tools too..... A pipe wrench would be my next choice.

I put the wrench on, secured the pulley with a strap, and smacked the wrench with a hammer, and it cam loose the first try.....

must be nice, i mean i cant get the little ***** wrench i hace that big to fit good enough. i need to go buy a big *** cresent wrench i guess. of yea a pipe wrench. then it should hopefully come loose. i could be done by now, but i cant get the dumbass fan off, its like rust bonded together forever! blah...

When we changed my dads water pump we had to put the old pump in a vise then drill a hole through it so we could sick a screwdriver through the hole to keep it from spinning. It was a major PITA!

ok well got it all done, and fixed.

got a pipe wrench on there and put duct tape on the pulley and then the strap wrench for added traction, and took about 3 hits and i got it loose.

all good to go now. thanks for the help guys.
