Hey guys,

I was woundering if anyone has cammed their ram.

i was just browsing and looking around and seeing what i could do and came to camming the ram.

What would i need to know about to improving the cam. im looking for a nice idle. the "rumble" at idle. haha. thanks guys

There is only a vary narrow selection of cams you can use, before you start getting into "PCM is Annoyed" territory, and requires a custom tune. However, you CAN just put on a set of Harland Sharp 1.7 roller rockers, and the cam you have now, acts like a bigger cam, without pissing off the PCM. Pretty common upgrade on these trucks.

here is my video after i installed my 1.7 roller rockers and my new flowmaster super 10 muffler. idle is low cause camera is at a little distance just turn volume up and towards the end a few revs!

this one is the day i installed them also when i had flowmaster 40 series. they werent broken in yet but i have other vids u can hear that has stock idle compared to after i got them installed

When you do a cam, be prepared to upgrade your entire top end...Starting with better valve springs and one piece valves at a minimum.

Do the 1.7s as others have said.

 

isnt it an upgrade to put a stock 318 cam in a 360? just a thought

 

Ya. Its wut i been trying to do.. cant find a 318 cam with that cam and my already 1.7 roller rockers id be set...

 

Sounds cool just wondering.. How much more h.p an torque would putting the 1.7 rocker arms on a stock 318 net u ? And around how much would It cost ?
