Scam. Its a resistor that causes the IAT sensor to lie to the PCM. It will work for about two minutes everytime you start the truck cold. (as in, not run for more than three hours.) then, the O2 sensor will override its input. Keep the money in your wallet. Their claims are bogus.

A CAI is a CAI is a CAI, No brand is going to actually provide more performance over another. I got a Spectre from auto zones for $200. If you want a cheap solution to the stock box, https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...-assembly.html

I got this set up as well and like it better than the CAI. cost me $40 all together.

The cold air intake is better for everyday driving as it gives better gas millage. As for the circle air cleaner would most likely be best at wot. But my opinion is id take the circle air cleaner over the cold air one and do my own style of ram air. Summit sells a nice one for 77 mopar performance and mopar performance valve covers

My miles per tank dropped when I put the CAI on in place of my 14x3 by almost 10 miles per tank. I do how ever like it better for 'round town driving.

^X2 for the spectre
summit sells it nice and cheap and will match any other cheaper.
all you have to do is call in to spectre. tell them you didn't get the new air hat, with throttle body linkage relief cut into it. they will ship out the updated one free of charge. bang for the buck its the best. nice and easy directions and precise fabricated pieces. check in the search we go through this thing almost every other week. they have pics in the last one that was a few pages.

How can a Cold Air Intake yield better gas mileage? Cold air is more dense than hot air, so the PCM dumps more fuel. More fuel = more power, but at the expense of fuel economy.
Now if the CAI is a **** poor design and takes the air from high up in the engine bay without so much as a heat shield, then the PCM will make the mix leaner, resulting in better fuel economy but with a reduction of power. The problem here is that most don't even see the added fuel economy because you have to use more throttle to achieve the same acceleration that you had when it was bone stock.

Can't have it both ways, UNLESS you find a way to make the laws of physics cease to exist.

That's about the norm from the stock intake setup if you introduce slightly cooler air with a CAI...
