Default Upgraded my alternator to a 136 amp

Just wanted to share this with the DF community. I found, what looks like, a relatively new 136 amp alternator at the bone yard for $32. Just finished installing it and it's great. My windows roll up a lot faster and my door locks lock on the first tap...no more double tapping to lock the door. I turned my head lights, fog lights and rolled my windows down all at the same time and my volt meter didn't even flinch. It's funny how little things make me so happy.

Mine was 136 from the factory. Even with that with the windshield wipers, headlights and my system on the volt meter dances lol.

Hmm, that's gotta suck. Wish I had an answer for you. What's the part number on your alt?

NO I didn't. You think the auto parts store would have one?

Maybe but i doubt it. Back to the donor truck or stealership. I have thinking of upgrading from my 136 to a CTD 200 i believe it is.

With my 136, I have NO problem running my high-beams, wipers, and upgraded stereo with two 12's at full blast. Never seen any flickering of lights or other power related issues. If I run all that at a stoplight, the amp gauge moved backward until it is vertical, but once I'm moving again, its right back up to normal.
