I had this problem as well, after replacing everything it ended up being the abs module/computer in the dash I think it was somewhere behind the climate control maybe a little lower toward the middle. got one from the local pick and pull for a couple bucks.

I just had this problem crop up this week. The light came on after hauling about 800 lbs worth of cement and now wont come off.

On a 2001 ext cab 4x4 is this sensor still on the rear diff? I'll be crawling under tomorrow to have a look around.

Weird, I had this problem on Thursday after I flashed my truck with my new SCT, I reverted back to stock and it stayed that way, so I flashed back to the 87 tune and they were still lit. I was beginning to get a little pi**ed off, so I took the truck for a drive, and they both went off after about 20 feet. Haven't seen the problem return, and I'm hoping that it stays that way.

I just encountered this problem with my '98 Ram and it includes my spedometer fluttering or even just sitting at 0 while im doing under 50 km/h. Is it the same fix or should I be looking at something different?

If you only have RWAL, check the connector on the rear wheel speed sensor, make sure it is clean, and tight. If that doesn't help, replace the sensor.

Same problem just came up on my 98 1500. About a 10 days ago i hauled a ton (literally 1920lbs) of dirt grass and mud to the landfill, then went on a 600 mile round trip last weekend. didnt drive it for two days then took it for a drive and the ABS and ebrake light stayed on. the entire 600 mile trip nothing then when i got back it was on. I've notice that if I put in neutral and shut it off while going, then turn it back on it will go out until I shut it off again.

My connection ended up being a little dirty. My wiring harness for it looks like its seen better days though, and with the off-roading I do I will be replacing that soon. Anyone know how much that runs? I found a few online but no price was listed.

EDIT: Part #DOR1673379. Is this the correct one for my truck?
