I replaced the cyl 8 injector and still no difference. Also installed a new pickup in the distributor still no difference. I am running out of ideas. Took it for a 10 mile ride and it misses pretty bad consistently at all rpm's. I was trying to get it to throw a code and it did not. What next guys
Unplug your PCM and blow any debris you migh have in there. Plug it back in and reset it. This along with the new pickup were the last things I did before it went back to normal. Good luck.
Get yourself a Noid light from the parts store. (used for testing to see if PCM is actually firing the injector.) Make sure the number 8 injector is actually getting a signal.

I did replace the pickup in the distributor cap. My manual shows it as a Cam Position Sensor. When I went to the parts house nothing came up as a Cam Position Sensor, it was listed as a Distributor Pickup. So after the confusion I called my local Dodge dealer and he called it as a pickup also. The part in question on my truck is a disk looking plate that goes under the distributor cap. This is the CPS right?

Yep. And our trucks seem to hate the aftermarket versions..... If all else fails, might want to get one from the dodge dealer, and see if that doesn't improve your trucks attitude.
