Default (help) 96 dodge ram 1500 4x4

i have a 96 ram and it wont start,
checked the fuel pump it good and the relays
are good but the truck will crank but will not start
it just wont pump fuel,
i ran a jump wire to the pump and it runs that way but it acts like its missing and wants to stall a lot,
please what can i do?

You say it will not pump fuel. How are you sure? Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail checking the pressure to verify the pump or just assuming it isnt working because the truck isnt starting?

the fuel pump is working just not starting unless i run a jump wire to the pump

Check the ASD relay as well. Just swap those two, with some other ones in the PDC, see what happens.

checked the asd relay and swiched it out too and still the same thing when i run the junp wire to the pump it runs but trys to cut off but its the only way to get it to run.
its just driving me crazy.

Bad fuel pump? If you jump it shouldn't it run like normal if its good?

i was thinking that what ever did not let it run with out the jump wire might be making it not want to run right, but maby ill have to check the pressure again
