The first sensor helps the PCM adjust the air/fuel ratio. Like squirrels said, plug them back in.

Without at least that first sensor, you're actually hurting gas mileage/performance/the engine.

I did plug them in I did pop the hood and notice that the wires were cracked and melted well at least the insulation was. I could see the actual wire. Im thinking this is causing it to run like crap. I also noticed that when im going on the highway it cruise fine but the moment i slightly step on the gas it shakes real real bad. Someone told me the bad plug wires will cause this !!!

OK got new plugs and wires ... runs a little bit better but still does the stupid WOT problems. When I go to acclerate heavy it like pops and sputters and will not accelerate. Almost sounds like its hitting a rev limiter but wont go anywhere, And when i go to accelerate it sorta hesitates and stalls as it does when im at WOT. Any ideas please. I am thinkin the O2 sensor is bad and the gutted cat the air is passing too fast and the O2 cant get a reading. ANY IDEAS PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME !!!

Check the Throttle position sensor.

Check fuel pressure at WOT.

How's your coil?

Cap and Rotor?

I didnt do the coil and didnt check the cap and rotor.... how do i test it at WOT ???? Thanks so much !

and the TPS Sensor is brand new got it 3 days ago

Have a gauge that has a long enough hose, so you can screw it onto the fitting, and then tape is somewhere that you can read it while driving. Might be better to tape is somewhere such that SOMEONE ELSE can read it while driving.... watching a gauge instead of the road in such circumstances might not be a good plan......

ok thanks. Now how much should fuel pressure be at when WOT. If its not getting enough fuel at WOT what could cause this. Also someone told me since my cat is gutted and halfway welded on that the o2 sensor senses that it has alot of air and the air is flowing to quick and its not getting the right fuek.air ration cause the engine to not get enough fuel ?

too much air on the o2 would tell it its running really lean and richin the mixture not lean it out

im just throwing it out there but wouldn't fuel pressure readings with the truck in park or neutral rev'd up be the exact same as if he were driving...the fuel system doesn't know he is stationary.
