might be a bad O2 sensor, or failed cat, blown plenum, etc.

Well got the truck back from the dealer .. runs alot better but it still will surge out and pop sometimes.... i dont have the cat all the way on and the spark plug wires are melted but they are off the header. There is black soot all over my spark plugs and end of tailpipe. Im thinking a full mopar performace tune up with new o2 sensors and new cat will do the trick !! What do yall think ?

Verify your plenum isn't blown, or you will get to do it all again.

Did you say your o2 sensors are unplugged? Plug them back in.

If wires are melted but you are sure the headers did not cause it, you gave some serious resistance issues or maybe an over volt problem. Check the coil. And look for induction crossfire (blue sparks traveling between the wires at night). Also make 100% sure the wire routing is correct from the cap to the correct spark plug.
