So, just to clarify, the "lying around" vss works in the other truck, but not in the one you tested it out in?
lol not for sure if it worked in the other truck or not, i got it with this one as a parts truck, because i traded my mustang for them and this had ben hit right in the passenger side rear tire, snapping the axel and bending the leafs on that side, so he gave me the parts truck with this one to yank the rear out of and swap it, and i never even drove it, pulled it off the trailer with my bronco, started it to make sure the motor ran, yanked the rear end, motor and tranny out, now it sitts so i can get the parts i need, sell what i don't and scrap the rest

Default ok update!!!!!!

allright, i took it for another ride a little bit ago, after another round of wire chasing, terminal cleaning, plug checking and praying the damn thing was fixed.........so this time, it still wouldn't shift out of second gear ( same as before) but it wouldn't throw a vss code, i even took it for a second run up the road and still no code, so the only conclusion i can come to is that the shifting and the vss code were 2 seperate problems.
does anyone have an idea what would cause the no shifting, and also still has the throttle limiter to go along with the not shifting as befoe

Default ok...new question

allright so now no vss code, but still no shifting and the rpm limit thing going on, just trying to see if anyone thinks my ideas might work
i was thinking of droping the pan, doing some inspecting on the sylanoid , and possably checking out the valve body in there, maybe checking and adjusting the bands as soon as i search and see if anyone has posted any info on the pocedure of doing it. am i missing anything, or is that pretty much covering all of it, of coarse unless it don't work then i guess im looking at a rebuild?
