Are you talking about making your own? like some DOM and heim joints or what? If you are then it pretty easy. Just drill out your tapers to what bolt size your useing and you will have to bend one bar of DOM to get around the Diff cover. Ballistic Fab has a kit wiith everything you need. You just have to measure from nuckle to nuckle and order one more bar than what they give you. ( The give you all the Heims, spacers, 2 sticks of DOM) You have to order one more bar because they size they give you is not long enough.

Which kit are you talking about? Could you post a link. I'm going to have to do tie rod ends anyway, and this looks like a better option.

http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...rs_p_1337.html

Also i ordered an extra stick of 6ft 1.5" .250 wall DOM to make my Nuckle to Nuckle bar. Now thats the piece that need bent to go around the diff. Its a pain to do unless you have a nice bender. lol. Also i just use Grade 8 3/4 bolts for everything. Took a little but to drill out nuckles and pitman arm but its worth it.

Other people may not like how i did my kit but ive done a couple this way and works well. Plus extreme heavy dutey.

That kit looks like it comes with everything so why did you have to buy an extra piece? Also could you post pics of the whole setup? Like at the pitman arm and each knuckle.

A bit more research shows that these kits are for off-road only. The heim joints are not DOT cleared. If you want to use heim joints, the greasable high quality ones cost around $75 a piece. Most likely you'll have to sign a waver with you insurance co. if your truck is inspected.

I dont dout that its not DOT approved. We have run this style of set up for years around here but we dont have inspections either.... Guess just look up your local laws. But the extra piece is becasue i have a 60 up front and the 58in piece was not long enough after the bends. Ill get some pics up here this weekend for yeah of another trucks but mine are not welded yet for my truck.
