Questions about gears and lockers...
This is a good locker for street use and off-road use:

The only time I can tell it's in there is on take off when you are turning either left or right. You have to be easy on the pedal or the inside tire will spin due to the locker engaging. But if you are easy on the gas the locker will stay unlocked and it will pull off normally. Other than that, you can't tell it's back there. There is no noise or anything. I have driven in ice and snow and it really does a good job. When you first install it there is a little noise, but after it gets broke in it is very quiet. I have had mine for a couple of years now with no problems
If you drove a vehicle with a g-80 and didnt mind driving with it then I would stick with a locker, it will help in all conditions and is a hell of a lot more fun to drive.
It will definantely out perform a limited slip in the mud and will track straighter due to the fact that your tires will be spinning at the same speed

A typical automatic locker is completely different than a G80. A G80 acts like an open diff under normal driving conditions.
So knowing all that you know now with the No-Slip, would you do anything different?
I hate debating this in my mind lol, my truck is probably 90% pavement, 10% off-road. I was looking at the true trac from Detroit, but I can distinctly remember times that my G80 pulled my butt out of the sling with full lock-up, and I'm not sure that the LSD can compete with that. Right now I'm driving my truck like I have an egg under the gas pedal in the hope of saving gas, and it's so far so good, so I'm not too worried about going to the no-slip. I think that it'll offer me similar result as what I had with the G80 in the Chevy.
