Default Help with Sensor??

I am COMPLETELY new to Rams, I bought a new to me 1999 Ram 1500 4x4 sport with a 5.2 and i have a question.

when i opened the hood to do an oil change and all that I noticed a wire/sensor out of place. I searched for about 30 minutes but could not figure out exactly where it is supposed to go. So any help would be appreciated on what this is and where it is supposed to go

really, ok what is it actually supposed to hook or stick to? because i dont want it just shoved up in the hood like how it is. Dont want a chance of it just falling and getting chewed up.

I don't have one in my truck, so, not entirely sure, I suspect that it just clips somewhere, but, your clip is apparently broken.
