And they increase load capacity some too. Got mine from SummitRacing for like $35 bucks.

Thanks for the ideas... I was actually thinking about putting in the add-a-leafs. Not sure if it would stiffen the ride too much, however, they would definately help when towing I'd assume.
Looking into running the 4.88 gears with a Detroit locker.

Is it ok to run 35" tires with the independent suspension in the front? I never really thought anything of it, but I'm starting to read some places where they recommend only 32"-33" or smaller.

Also, how much backspacing should I have on my aftermarket wheels? I want them to stick out of the fenders a couple inches at least. And are 16x10's the best for a 315/75/16 tire?

well larger tires are gonna make the front suspension wear out quicker than stock size tires, the bigger you go the worse its gonna get...this happens on all vehicles 35's should not be to bad on the front suspension.

16x8- 16x10 for that size tire will work, a 16x10 will give the tire a fatter look, and how far they stick out will depend on the backspacing and width of rim

yes add-a-leafs will help with the squat of towing, and if you do alot of towing it might be worth the stiffer ride.

Well, finally found a set of 35x12.50 tires mounted on 18x10 rims on Craigslist. Both were in excellent condition, and it was definitely too good of a deal to pass up.
I think I want to go the Add-a-Leaf route, but all the ones I find say they will lift the rear about 1.5". If I do 2.5" lift coils in the front, will the rear still sit higher than the front unloaded?

well a 1.5 leveled mine about dead on,,,,,,,, so u maybe just a little bit higher in the rear like .5in's

but i had a buddy that ran a stock 2wd reg cab long bed with just a 3in body lift and ran 35's with a little triming up front,,,,,,,,,, so with that sayed i would do the coils and a 2-3 in body lift and the truck will look sweet
