Default Adjustable Lower Control Arms

I installed a 2" HBS Leveling Kit on my 2001 Extended Cab Sport with the Off Road Package. My alignment guy as well as several members have suggested that control arms are maxed and should be changed to get the correct alignment settings.

My alignment guy told me I should be able to get a set of adjustable lower control arms and that should solve the problem.

Is he correct?

If he is, where can I get a set of these adjustable lower control arms?

Thanks

Good luck finding those. Your best bet is to get a really good fabricating guy to make you some. Either that or by what is called a long arm lift kit. Skyjacker makes a really good one.

Would NOT do heim joints on a DD. All the road bumps and dips will be transfered to you the driver. Makes for a very rough ride. You want bushings to obsorb all the shock. Plus they wont last very long in a DD. What ever way you go off roadster is 4" over stock. UPPER/LOWER arms 5" versions plus your going to have to deal with the track bar. Once thats done need to look at the draglink to track bar angle. May need a drop pitman.

Long arms won't work for 2" of lift. You do not need anything for 2" spacers. If your alignment guy can't align it you have one of two problems. "A" you have something wrong somewhere else or "B" you need a new alignment guy. There's is plenty of caster adjustment for what you've done, and that's all that changes when lifting a solid axle.

Oops my bad I read over the offroad package. In that case you "should" still be able to squeeze an exceptable alignment out of it. Even still long arms won't work but a set of 5" arms should work. IMO the drop track bar brackets are too much drop for 4-5". Mine seemed to function better when put my 2" spacers on top of my 5" coils. I bought an adjustable track bar from topguncustomz. It is actually beefy and gets rid of that crappy joint design while being completely bolt on. They also sell custom length control arms for like 250 or so.
