Will the mega shifter fit a 97 RAM with a 46re tranny

 

My question would be: Why would you want one? Do you manually shift your auto on a regular basis? It isn't going to improve performance any, and it's not like your truck will ever be the king of the racing circuit.......

 

Just want one like the look. And playing in the mud I shift it myself. Just think it would be neat.

 

You would have to get creative for mounting..... but, aside from that, I really see no reason why it wouldn't work...... might be some cable length issues too for that matter, as the mega shifter was designed more for cars, was it not? Or, is this application specific for the dodge truck?

 

I had a Megashifter in my Dakota with a 46RE, I loved it....One of my favorite mods. I sold it when I dropped in my 727.

The probelm is going to mounting it...Every floor shifter is a custom fabbed install, and the handle might be pretty far down on a full size truck.

I bookmarked it a while ago because I was thinking about it. But it would seem weird next to the 4x4 shifter. For a 2x4 it would be unique and not out of place.
