Default sport trucks an regular trucks?
I have a 1997 1500 4x4 is there a difference between the sport version and the standard on the suspension side?

do the sports have a stock lift?

no they don't but I know the off-road edition had stiffer springs which made them sit a little higher

sport vs non sport is just an appearance/trim package. sport has dual headlights, painted bumpers instead of chrome, and a few stickers.

00 and 01 offered an offroad edition with a 2 inch lift, 4.10 gears, and 17in wheels. its the holy grail of 2nd gen.

Not on his 97. I think he still has the single headlight system, and the same bumper that came on the non-sport trucks. He will have the body color grill and bumpers, and I think that's about it.

97's had single beam head lights, body color grille and bumpers, and a sport decal.
Yep. Thats it.
