Default No 4th gear

Well in my old transmission I blew 2nd gear. So I ordered a rebuilt trans and my brother in law and I installed it. I now have no Overdrive gear. 4th gear just will not kick in. I called the transmission place and they assured me they checked it and made sure everything worked before shipping it to me. We have checked and double checked everything we can think of. Really don't wanna have to take the whole trans out again. It was a huge pain in the first place. Any help would be appreciated.

Might wanna ask the company that built it, what sensors and such they put in there. There were some wiring variations over the years, and it may be just that simple. Are you getting any codes?

So I called the business and there no longer in business. I've had it in the truck for a few months and I guess they closed up shop since then

That's not gonna be of much help......

If you don't get TCC either...... Order up the O/D, and TCC solenoid set for your year truck. Gotta drop the valve body to change 'em though. I suspect it is just a pinout difference.

If you get one, but not the other, recheck wiring.

my new trans is doing the same thing. i couldnt figure out why, so i plugged my scanner in and found that my trans temp was - 47 degrees, so i drove it longer and after about 10 miles my overdrive kicked on, and had lockup in 3rd and overdrive. the trans will not lock up or use od under a certain temperature,i cant recall waht the exact number was. i just havent had the time to see if its the sensor or a wiring issue. it wont throw a code either
