Anybody know what size belt to run with no ac or power steering?

advanceauto lists 2 versions - one with air and one w/o. let me look it up....

But I bet both of those assume power steering...... I really would NOT want to try and drive my truck without power steering though.....

damn. i missed the power steering part. you better eat your wheaties for that.

a couple of ways to determine the length

1. get the wifey's cloth measuring tape. remove the belt and place the measuring tape around the path. write that number down. then jack the tensioner all the way over and write that number down. pick a number somewhere in between. do this on the full path and compare to the 97.3 inches to see if you're getting an accurate measurement, and not too deep down in any pulleys.

2. using your old belt, wrap it around the shorter path. have an assistant jack the tensioner over, and mark the belt. if you had an old belt, you could cut it for a more precise overlap and marking.

I put a 318 in my Mazda pickup and I'm just trying to get everything together.

just curious, but isn't that something that the parts counter could look up for you in a heart beat?
