Another 20 bucks or so in gaskets, and under 50 for a good timing set. Since you have to take the water pump off to do the job, if yours is old, replace it. (another 50 bucks or so.)

i was solo the first time too.. it took me about 16hours total.. i moved VERY methodically and even took a break after every move to WRITE down what I did and how.. I bagged every bolt.. I taped and tagged every cable, connection, and loose end.. I took pictures with the phone.. It took forever..

I went back in a while later with the AIrGap.. it took me about five hours total, clean up and all..

I went in yet again after a lifter collapsed.. I was in and out, cleaned up and running down the road in four hours..

practice DOES help.. you're doing it right though imHo, by taking your time..

wanna be entertained? check this link:

the, uh, pictures on the phone did me no good.. :-)

I've had bad luck with Stants.. I've heard bad things about Fail-Safes.. if you're not tuned (SCT) for a 180, you're wasting your time.. I'd go with a good reputable 195*, and I'd CHECK through several cycles before I loaded her up..

good luck dude!!!
