not sure if you can tell from this video but until i punched it at about :22, i was at half throttle going up the hill. it just feels like its not all there. and all that im going on is from my previous chevy c10 that had a nice 305 with a lot of pep, and my 5500lb suburban that seems to have more oomph than the ram

Well, you prolly need a tune up.
Just plugs and wires will make a world of difference, it did mine.
You also need a new tie down clamp for your air box. That or a new air box.
The breather line that goes into the airbox is also missing, that goes into the driver's side valve cover. You kinda need that there.

You could remedy the box by getting a 14x3 round air cleaner and a old skool style breather for the valve cover if there isn't one there already.
Overall, looks nice. Didn't hear any pinging in the last video when you floored it up the hill.
You should be good for now with that.

Nice truck.
Welcome to DF!

The SCT tuner from hemifever does away with the "death flash". A programming update what was supposed to reduce/eliminate spark knock... (as our trucks don't have a knock sensor......) Unfortunately, what it really accomplished was gimping the engine. Drastically reduced power/torque. Aside from one thread on here with person that didn't see any gains.... the SCT tuner seems to be the best "bang for the buck" mod on these trucks. It also reduces torque management.... another bane of 'out of the hole' performance on these trucks.

14x3 or CAI doesn't really make much difference. You won't notice any power gains from just this mod. The round air filter will flow better than stock, so, you pick up a bit there, but, it is drawing in nice, hot air from the engine compartment, so, you lose some there.

Most of the CAI systems on the market for our trucks draw air from the same place as the stock system. They do, however, have the benefit of flowing better..... at least, I would like to think they do....... So, technically, going by the aftermarket definition of CAI, the stock system IS a CAI...... it would seem.

Contact hemifever. 265 for canned tunes, 365 for custom. You won't need custom tunes unless you do things like heads, cam, etc. The canned tunes will deal with 99% of bolt on mods.

You can PM him right here on this site. Or, check him out here. Give him a call. He can set ya right up.
