Default Nasty smell from vents when Heater is on, also fogs up windows

When I use my heater theres a nasty smell...kind of sweet, but very un-pleasent.

My heater also fogs up my windows if I use anything other than the defroster setting.

Heater core is probably toast hey?

None of these symptoms are noticed when the AC is on, no bad smell, no fogging.

Yep, probably your heater core

Check and see if your passenger floorboard is wet, if your core is toast that may have some coolant on it

I checked that actually and there is nothing. Dry as a bone.

Doesn't matter. I can tell you right now your heater core needs to be replaced. It's leaking.

Is there any reason to replace it pronto? Or can it wait till winter?

Coolant runs through your heater core whenever the engine is running, even if the heat isn't on. If it is indeed leaking, it will leak through the summer as well.

You can bypass it by connecting the feed and return lines before it gets to the heater core. One line runs off the metal tube that sticks out of the heater core and runs the drivers side valve cover, the other runs along the passenger side valve cover and should already have a cut in it right around the middle of the valve cover.

Connect those 2 tubes on the water pump side (not the heater core side, or you'll just pump coolant out of your engine as it runs) and band clamp each side. There should be a metal coupling already in the tube on the passenger side where that cut is.

If you wait till winter then you may freeze your nads off trying to put a new one in.
