Sons 98 ram will some time out of the blue just die,,
starts right back up,,
said seems to be when turning .. or maybe thats just when it decides to do it.
he has had a new fuel pump installed. didnt help

 

can you be more descriptive

 

360 v8. he says it just dies. looses everything as if you turned the key off.
I have not witnessed his truck doing this.

he pops it in nutral , turns the key and it starts right back up.

 

Intermittents... always fun.....

First, verify all electrical connections on things like the coil, and various sensors, are clean, and tight. Since it will fire right back up again, it kinda points to a bad connection somewhere.

 

No codes on the truck.....whats it idleing at(rpm).....and check all electrical connections and grounds dealing with ignition system(battery/alt/coil)
