ohyah and now for the stupid question of the week.

On my tachometer, it has 3 lines....so im assuming each line = 333 rpms? sorta?

Wondering what my idle should be at when sitting in drive, versus sitting in park or neutral.

I know I probably need to check plugs and wires cus the previous owner hadnt done that in years.

Def want to get that universal fluid out. It will destroy that trans. Most places use it and usually add a friction modifier. ATF+4 transmissions don't like it at all.

800-1000RPM when cold (Fast idle)

650ish in park , 600ish when in drive

Anything lower than 500 RPM is too low.

Always make sure your transmission place is putting in ATF+4 and nothing else. If they don't offer it, you can always buy the fluid yourself and take it to the lube place and get them to use that. Make sure you buy 6-7 quarts. Universal fluid is a great way to ensure you need a tranny rebuild.

BTW where is the OBD1 port on my 95 Ram? Cant see it under the dash.[/quote]

On my 95, the OBD1 is under the hood, on the fire wall between the charcoal canister and valve cover on the passenger side.
