Know, cars are not to be considered 'bump stops'..... That's really hard on the body work anyway.

Just make sure it keeps the hp and tq numbers down low on the rpms or it won't work good as a truck. I know all the stupid stuff, @HeyYou he knows all the important stuff

2500/3500 frames are a deeper section, I believe.

The service manual doesn't have the dimensions of the frame itself but does give a different height difference in the middle from the light duty and heavy duty versions.

Because bigger suspension on the HD 2500 and better axles

Just personal experience, remember to adjust your rear brakes too. Helps with stopping. I've been carrying a truck camper. My Ram didn't pass inspection in December because of the front brakes. So I had them done while it was there. I assumed the bad brakes were ok... So here I am in July wondering why my truck is suddenly darting to the right when I apply the brakes with a "holy chit, I gotta stop now!" type of movement. My back brakes have been out of adjustment this whole time. The front pads are worn right down.

As these trucks age, it’s worth replacing the flexible brake lines...
I had a pulling issue, that was a particularly collapsed rear line.

As these trucks age, it’s worth replacing the flexible brake lines...
I had a pulling issue, that was a particularly collapsed rear line.

Not only the flexible ones, All of them! I have two second gens and both blew out the rear hard line next to the gas tank. Along with the hard line where it connects to the front flex line blew out. I also had an issue with bracket that holds the flexible brake line going to the front caliper. It rusted up so bad that it was trapping pressure in the line and causing the caliper to keep pressure on the pads heating up the rotor. Gota love the rust belt! NOT!
