Default Valve train issue

Ok first off im a Ford guy with a 2001 dodge ram 5.2

Ok Did a head gasket job on my truck everything went well ran the valves thats were the problem is I beleive. I ran them on tdc now come to find out your supposed to run them at 145 ish after tdc the v8 mark thanks dodge forum search . well running valves on ford if they are to tight they have a bad hesitation/ stumble which is what my truck is doing and downish on power. Could this be causing the problem ? Like i said im not to familiar with the magnum engine valvetrain and dont know if doing them on tdc would actually make them to tight.

Are you setting valve lash? If so, grab the 01 service manual in the FAQ section, have a read thru there, it will have the exact procedure you need to follow to set them right.
